Are there books you could recommend for improving at things like this? I a little handle but i would love to really develop my conceptual understandings of the equations. P.S These are getting more and more impressive!!!
Yep, desmos for all of them! I think the best way to learn would be to see some solutions that people have posted and try to work backwards from there. Also keep trying to get parts of each sketch, if not the whole thing. For instance, since the centers of the circles in this sketch are based on sin(x), you can get a bunch of points on sin(x) with a list, like so: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/cdkt70vxa9
Those points would be the centers of the circles for this sketch. Let me know if that helped at all!
Are the circles 3-d though? or did you make ellipses.Thanks, it does help- I have been looking at the patterns created and backtracked to rule(s) that govern them, then try to find equation(s). A lot however, are over my head and I don’t know where to start or how the drawings work, conceptually with respect to the maths( for example, http://dailydesmos.com/2015/11/05/modify-me-rotated-squiggles-9a-advanced/). I want to find find some resources to give me a platform to develop my understanding of these equations, so I can study the math in my own time.
Ah, no they are just circles. They look 3d because of the overlapping nature 🙂
